The Role
As a Paint Sprayer / Prepper, you’ll be responsible for preparing vehicles for paint and completing high-quality refinishing work to the required standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing vehicles and panels ready for painting
- Sanding, filling, masking and priming surfaces
- Preparing damaged areas to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish
- Mixing and colour-matching paint accurately
- Applying primers, basecoats and clearcoats
- Carrying out paint repairs and refinishing work
- Inspecting completed work to ensure a high-quality finish
- Identifying and correcting any paint defects
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Following correct repair methods and health and safety procedures
About You
We’re looking for an experienced Paint Sprayer / Prepper who can hit the ground running and deliver excellent workmanship.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer, Vehicle Paint Sprayer, Paint Technician, Prepper or Vehicle Refinisher
- Experience preparing vehicles for paint from start to finish
- Strong knowledge of modern paint systems and refinishing techniques
- Experience with water-based paints
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds, NVQ, ATA or equivalent are desirable
