Care Home Head Chef

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate, Care Home Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a care home in Birmingham (B1). This is a great opportunity for an experienced chef who takes pride in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for residents, while enjoying great pay and flexible daytime working hours.,

• Plan and prepare varied, nutritious menus suitable for residents’ dietary needs
• Lead and support kitchen staff to maintain high standards
• Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health and safety regulations
• Manage stock control, ordering, and portion control effectively
• Adapt menus for specific dietary requirements (e.g. soft food, allergies, diabetic needs)Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally within care home, healthcare, or contract catering
• Strong understanding of nutrition and special dietary requirements
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Sound knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
• A caring, patient, and flexible approach to work
• Great rates of pay: £16-£18 per hour
