Preferred Requirements

• Proven expertise as a costs draftsman with a strong track record of preparing costs schedules and detailed assessments
• Qualified as a costs lawyer or demonstrable equivalent experience in costs law and procedure
• Thorough knowledge of civil procedure rules and costs assessment principles
• Ability to advise clients on costs implications and prepare robust costs documentation
• Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Legal qualification (solicitor, barrister, or costs lawyer accreditation)
• Membership of the Association of Costs Lawyers or equivalent professional body
• Relevant continuing professional development in costs law and procedure
