Information Security Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead and maintain the bank’s information security program, focusing on implementing ISMS and safeguarding sensitive data. You will work within IT and security teams to enhance cyber and network security, addressing vulnerabilities and driving governance. The position blends hands-on security with policy, reporting, and KPI monitoring in a hybrid London setting. This is an opportunity to shape security practices at a central London bank and contribute to resilient information security.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
• Manage cybersecurity and network security initiatives to protect sensitive information
• Identify and address information security vulnerabilities and incidents
• Develop and review security policies and governance documents
• Prepare and present security reports and KPI dashboards
• Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure regulatory and security compliance
• Support SIEM, firewall, and web proxy tooling to monitor and detect threats
• Lead security-related projects and continuous improvement efforts

Key requirements

• Experience implementing and maintaining ISMS
• Strong knowledge of information security and network security principles
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking and Cisco firewalls (Firepower/Threat Detection)
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
• SIEM experience (LogRhythm desirable)
• Web proxy experience (Forcepoint desirable)
• Governance skills and policy writing experience
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM preferred; CCNP/CISM desirable
