Construction Cost Analyst

Overview

In this role you will support the UK property pricing team to deliver on contractual construction schedule obligations while upholding excellent customer support. You’ll contribute to data analytics, trend reporting, and custom pricelist work, helping publish cost databases and insights for insurers. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams in a London-based team shaping pricing and research outputs. This is a hands-on role with a focus on accuracy, continuous improvement, and delivering reliable cost data to support risk decisions.

Responsibilities

• Research and maintain cost databases
• Price list maintenance and analysis
• General data and economic analysis; report creation and publication
• Ad hoc trend reporting and research
• Pricing requests coordination with customers
• Manage item placement/search tools for data tables
• External user assistance and relationship management
• Support data analytics, trend reporting, construction consultation, and custom pricelist building

Key requirements

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in the UK construction or insurance field
• Experience as a buyer, surveyor, construction manager, engineer or adjuster in the UK market
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Knowledge of UK construction practices and installation techniques
• Experience with software estimating applications and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to set personal and team goals
• Ability to analyse data at a statistical level
