Overview
In this role you will lead cost management on large residential and regeneration schemes for private developers, helping to shape financial strategies and cost outcomes. You will work within a collaborative, growth‑oriented team at a growing multidisciplinary construction consultancy. You’ll manage cost consultancy services from feasibility through to completion and leverage technology to improve efficiency. Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise Cost Managers
- Develop existing client relationships and help win new clients
- Oversee all cost consultancy services (pre-contract and post-contract)
- Lead cost control, cost planning, estimates, and procurement
- Negotiate and prepare contracts
- Engage with supply chain partners
- Conduct budget reconciliations and cost reporting
- Structure cost data for the wider business
- Client liaison and QA/compliance checks
- Champion use of technology to enhance client service and internal efficiency
Key requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in Cost Management, Cost Consultancy, or Quantity Surveying
- Experience in largescale residential urban projects
- Strong cost planning, cost control, reporting and procurement ability
- Experience serving private sector clients
- MRICS is essential
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
- Experience or interest in MMC and/or sustainability beneficial
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
