Associate/Senior Associate Cost Consultants (Infrastructure)

Overview

In this role you support the growth of the business and delivery of high-quality service to a diverse client base. You will work within a dedicated cost team on infrastructure projects, with a current emphasis on aviation, reporting to senior leadership. You’ll manage pre- and post-contract activities, procurements, cost estimation, and budget control, guiding teams and contributing to business development. The role blends client engagement, project leadership, and strategic cost management to drive value and delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre- and post-contract activities including procurements and project finances
• Lead tender processes: strategy, evaluation, and client-facing reports
• Oversee post-contract management: budgets, change control, and final accounts
• Cost planning, estimating and benchmarking; prepare cost plans and reports
• Monitor budgets, variances, and cashflow; provide financial analysis to clients
• Coordinate risk management and provide proactive risk recommendations
• Drove client communication, coordination across internal and external teams, and governance
• Contribute to business development and recruitment initiatives

Key requirements

• Degree qualified
• MRICS preferred but not essential
• Typically 5+ years on projects with value > 5m
• Experience in pre- and post-contract work and NEC or similar contracts
• Consultancy environment experience
• Strong leadership and client-facing skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft platforms; SAP experience desirable
• Proven ability to develop and manage budgets and cost reports
