Overview

In this role you will lead a team delivering high-quality student records services across academic departments, supporting students throughout the lifecycle. You’ll drive service improvement, ensure data quality and compliance, and collaborate with faculties, Registry and professional services to enhance the student and staff experience. You’ll shape processes and build expertise in Imperial’s records systems, contributing to the university’s mission by delivering reliable student administration at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Student Records Officers to foster a high-performing culture
  • Manage workloads and priorities to ensure a responsive service across the academic cycle
  • Oversee core student records activities with accuracy, efficiency and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor data quality and use reporting to identify issues, manage risk and inform decisions
  • Provide guidance and escalation support to academic departments; resolve complex student cases
  • Identify and implement service and process improvements to boost efficiency and user experience
  • Develop and maintain processes, business rules and documentation; build expertise in Imperial’s student records systems

Key requirements

  • Experience in a complex organisation, ideally in higher education
  • Experience managing staff
  • Experience using student management information systems
  • Strong analytical, digital and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
