Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer

Overview

In this role you will provide clinical leadership to drive the Trust’s digital strategy and transformation, collaborating with clinical and digital teams to implement and optimise digital health solutions. You will promote safe and innovative technology use to improve patient care and staff experience while aligning with NHS digital standards. You will contribute to divisions and organisation-wide programmes, shaping person-centred care through digital delivery. This is a chance to influence healthcare delivery at scale within a leading community provider.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to deliver digital strategy and transformation programmes
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, digital and transformation teams to implement and optimise digital healthcare systems
• Promote safe, effective and innovative use of technology to improve patient care and staff experience
• Lead and support divisional digital transformation initiatives aligned with Trust and Integrated Care System priorities
• Champion clinical engagement ensuring digital solutions meet patient and multidisciplinary needs
• Identify, evaluate and promote digital innovations that improve quality and outcomes
• Support compliance with NHS digital clinical safety standards, including monitoring clinical risk
• Provide leadership and support for designated projects including effective use of people and resources
• Contribute to teaching, governance and ongoing development of digital clinical practice across the Trust

Key requirements

• Clinical professional qualification and registration
• Undergraduate degree in a clinical or clinical informatics subject
• Evidence of ongoing professional development
• Masters or equivalent combination of masters level education, specialist qualifications and experience
• Qualified Clinical Safety Officer or willingness to undertake training
• Extensive knowledge of clinical/operational workflows in a community environment
• NHS leadership experience
• Experience of managing service delivery against specifications
• Track record of meeting challenging objectives within tight timeframes
• Knowledge of NHS policy and clinical agendas and ability to translate into local action

• Experience with digital transformation projects within the NHS
