Overview
In this role you will manage a high-quality privately funded family caseload within a respected national firm. You will drive growth of the family department through client work and business development, while mentoring junior team members. You will advise on divorce, financial remedies, and related matters, building strong client and professional networks. This is an opportunity to shape private family practice for high-net-worth clients in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a privately funded family caseload
- Advise on divorce and financial remedy matters
- Handle high-net-worth financial settlements, property, pension sharing
- address cohabitation disputes and separation agreements
- Oversee prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
- Build and maintain client relationships and referral networks
- Mentor junior team members when needed
- Contribute to department growth through business development and networking
Key requirements
- Minimum of 8 years’ PQE in family law
- Extensive experience managing a private family law caseload
- Strong expertise in divorce and financial remedy matters
- Excellent technical knowledge of family law and current developments
- Proven ability to manage complex and high-value financial cases
- Strong advocacy, negotiation and client relationship skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- Membership of Resolution and Family Law Accreditation an advantage but not essential
