Senior Building Surveyor in Southampton

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects and professional assignments from inception to completion across traditional surveying duties
• Maintain clear communication and coordinate with managers to ensure financial control
• Assist with managing client/project teams to deliver services profitably and on time
• Visit sites to perform surveys, supervise site activities, and coordinate with contractors and clients
• Produce outputs accurately and on schedule
• Represent the company professionally to build long-lasting client relationships
• Mentor junior team members to support professional development

Key requirements

• BSc in building surveying or equivalent
• MRICS or equivalent professional status
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit; experience with NBS software is beneficial
• Experience in higher education, local government, or healthcare sectors beneficial
• Experience in professional surveying services related to Party Wall and Commercial dilapidations beneficial
• Solid skills in surveys, project management, clerk of works, repairs and maintenance
• Broad understanding of contract suites (JCT/NEC)
