Vice President II, Debt Finance (Fund Finance)

Overview

In this role, you lead a portfolio of Private Equity and Venture Capital clients within HSBC’s Strategic Fund Solutions Debt Finance team. You drive end-to-end Fund Finance facilities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior colleagues. You will shape financing structures and foster deep client relationships to deliver high-quality debt solutions. This is a chance to influence how growth-focused funds scale with strategic banking support.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution and ongoing maintenance of Fund Finance facilities for a dedicated PE/VC client portfolio
• Support Directors/MDs in portfolio development and client management
• Guide and train junior team members on all Debt Finance aspects
• Collaborate with Origination and Portfolio Management to deliver exceptional client service
• Act on cross-sell opportunities to expand product offerings for key clients
• Oversee structuring and execution of facilities across Capital Call, NAV, GP/Manc Co, and FX

Key requirements

• Strong Fund Finance experience with credit, structuring, and legal documentation
• Knowledge of FX and common Fund Finance structures at fund and manager levels
• Proficiency in Excel and CRM systems
• Solid understanding of the VC/PE industry and related finance solutions
• Strategic thinker with relationship-building ability and collaborative mindset
