Associate / Senior Associate

Overview

In this Senior Associate role, you will support and develop clients within regulatory defence, health and safety, and financial crime. You will work on investigations led by regulators and contribute to the firm’s strategic direction. The position sits in the Regulatory and Corporate Defence team within Dispute Resolution, offering opportunities to influence client outcomes and be part of a collaborative, growth-focused culture. This is a hybrid role with a clear path to leadership and thought leadership in regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Support and grow client relationships in regulatory defence, health and safety, anti-bribery and financial crime
• Assist investigations initiated by regulators (CMA, SFO, HSE, Environment Agency)
• Engage in inquests and public inquiries (beneficial)
• Maintain high professional standards and efficiency in servicing client needs
• Contribute to strategic direction and firm growth; participate in business development and networking
• Mentor junior team members and support team development
• Promote the firm’s services at events, conferences and other BD activities

Key requirements

• Minimum of 6 years PQE in a professional legal environment
• Contribute to thought leadership and sector-focused marketing initiatives
• Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to team development
• Established client base or network (preferred but not essential)
• Experience building credibility and trust through effective relationships
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, time recording software, case management, Outlook and digital dictation
