Overview
As an Employment Associate, you will join a nationally recognised, award-winning employment team in Exeter to handle a broad mix of high-quality employment work. You will advise employers and senior executives, support HR and transactional issues, and manage a diverse caseload with early ownership. You’ll work closely with partners on high-value matters and have the chance to develop through broad exposure across contentious and non-contentious work. Responsibilities
- Advise on complex employment issues and disputes
- Provide day-to-day HR and employee relations guidance across multiple sectors
- Support employment aspects of corporate transactions
- Represent both employers and senior employees/executives
- Handle both contentious and non-contentious matters with early ownership
- Manage your own caseload from the outset with partner oversight
Key requirements
- 3+ years’ PQE in employment law
- Employer-focused background is advantageous but not essential
- Strong HR advisory and corporate support experience
- Excellent communication and ability to build trusted client relationships
- Empathy, good judgement and professionalism for sensitive matters
- Strong organisational skills, resilience under pressure, meticulous approach
