Information Security Engineer

Overview

In this role you will strengthen cloud and on-prem security across Azure, M365, and GCP while supporting incident response. You will advise on configurations, governance, and threat detection, collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed zero-trust principles. You’ll work with Defender, SIEM, and vulnerability tooling to improve security postures and rapid response capabilities. This position combines hands-on engineering with advisory duties to help safeguard a complex cloud-enabled environment.

Responsibilities

• Cloud security assessment of Azure IaaS and Google Cloud environments with actionable recommendations
• Optimize Azure Defender and cloud security monitoring; guide threat detection and response
• Review and enhance access controls and IAM strategies, promoting zero trust and least privilege
• Ensure regulatory and internal governance compliance; perform security audits and risk assessments
• Maintain and upgrade security tooling including SIEM and vulnerability scanners; support incidents

Key requirements

• Experience in an IT engineering capacity
• Hands-on Azure security administration
• Proficiency across cloud/hybrid compute, network, and storage
• Deep knowledge of Azure services, Defender, CA, and Google Cloud security tools
• Strong SIEM, vulnerability management, and supporting infrastructure know-how
• Broad IT domain knowledge (infrastructure, software, databases, IAM)
• Windows Server, endpoints, macOS, Linux expertise
• Knowledge of NIST frameworks (NIST 800-series)
• Hands-on SIEM data ingestion, monitoring, alerts, and SO processes
• Terraform and IaC best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication
