Residential Conveyancing Lawyer – Exeter

Overview

In this role you will manage a caseload of new build and plot purchase conveyancing for buyers, supporting a growing South West property team. You will review titles and planning documents, raise site-wide enquiries, and work to developer deadlines including 28-day exchanges. The position offers client-facing responsibility, business development exposure, and clear progression within a supportive firm culture. You will contribute to delivering high-quality conveyancing services in a well-established practice.

Responsibilities

• Handle new build and residential conveyancing matters with minimal supervision
• Review title, planning documents and searches for developments
• Raise site-wide enquiries and prepare master site reports
• Act for purchasers and meet developer deadlines, including 28-day exchanges
• Manage related sale and purchase transactions
• Support business development and nurture referrer relationships

Key requirements

• Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with 2+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience)
• Strong background in new homes and plot purchase conveyancing
• Experience managing your own caseload independently
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Strong organisational and IT skills, including case management systems
