As Utilities Coordinator at Vistry South East Midlands, you will manage utility connections, approvals, and third‑party works from viability to completion. You’ll identify risks and opportunities for value engineering to protect margins while supporting safe, on‑time delivery and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Provide and manage utility information for new opportunities and project viability
- Place and track utility orders, manage installation to programme
- Coordinate strategy with construction for utility connections and POCs/service diversions
- Support commercial in procurement of MEP packages via enquiries, quotations, and pre‑order meetings
- Oversee service design comments with M&E Design Manager and ensure timely responses
- Support payment applications review and ensure certification for connections to obtain PC/completion
- Manage meter applications and installation to programme
- Develop and implement test, inspection, and commissioning regimes across projects
- Assist site teams in securing power and water to site compounds
- Attend departmental and gateway meetings and keep stakeholders informed
- Ensure RAMS and service designs align with Vistry SHE policy and legal requirements
Key requirements
- Knowledge of Utilities legislation
- Understanding of process to secure POCs and service diversion works
- Understanding of securing services to new developments
- Detailed understanding of all technical aspects of service delivery
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to use MS software
- Demonstrates resilience
- Willingness to work extra to meet deadlines
- HNC or equivalent (education is also captured in required_education)
- Desirable: Specialist Utilities Qualifications
