Digital Markets – Markets Digital Assets – Executive Director or Vice President

Overview

In this role you drive the strategy and delivery of proprietary blockchain applications within Digital Markets, collaborating with trading, sales and technology to enable connectivity, interoperability and tokenised products for a global client franchise. You will translate business needs into concrete product requirements, engage clients for feedback, and ensure compliant, well-governed delivery. The role blends entrepreneurial ownership with cross-functional partnership to shape next-gen markets products built on blockchain. You will operate across private and public ledgers, balancing performance, security and regulatory considerations for real-world asset tokenisation.

Responsibilities

• Define the product roadmap for tokenising real-world assets across cash and securities
• Drive connectivity strategy across public blockchains and private ledgers
• Specify functional requirements for interoperability, bridging, node infrastructure, wallet and key management, and data integration
• Evaluate networks, protocols and vendors, weighing security, scalability, cost and regulatory posture
• Design settlement and workflow models for on-chain trading and collateral mobility
• Define token standards and lifecycle processes (issuance, transfer, redemption, corporate actions)
• Translate business objectives into functional/technical specs for delivery teams
• Manage end-to-end product delivery from discovery to go-to-market
• Collaborate with legal, compliance and risk to embed custody and controls
• Lead client engagements to identify needs and convert them into product/tech requirements
• Align stakeholders across trading, sales, technology and operations on operating model and execution

Key requirements

• Experience in technical product management or engineering within financial services, fintech or financial infrastructure
• Ability to write clear functional and technical specifications and translate business needs into delivery-ready requirements
• Strong understanding of APIs, data models and integration architecture
• Working knowledge of distributed ledger technology, tokenisation concepts and public vs. permissioned networks
• Experience partnering with client-facing teams and engaging directly with clients on solution design
• Understanding of markets workflows, including trading, settlement and collateral-related processes
• Proven ability to evaluate technical options and vendor solutions and articulate trade-offs
• Strong communication skills to present complex topics to stakeholders
