Overview

As Family Partner you will lead the growth of the Family Law offering in Swansea and Bridgend, shaping a regional department within a regional practice. You will work with senior leadership to drive a strategic growth plan, develop talent, and build long-term client relationships while delivering high-quality, high-value matters. The role combines leadership, business development, and exemplary client service to raise the firm’s profile across South Wales. You will be an ambassador for the firm, networks-driven and outcomes-focused, delivering sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic growth and development of the Family Department in Swansea and Bridgend
  • Drive regional business development to expand market share
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, introducers, businesses and stakeholders
  • Act as an ambassador for the firm through networking, events and referrals
  • Manage a varied, high-quality caseload including complex matters
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities
  • Recruit, develop and lead a regional Family team
  • Manage case files, correspondence and diaries per firm procedures and SRA requirements
  • Complete time recording, performance reviews and management information
  • Collaborate cross-practice to maximise referral opportunities
  • Deliver exceptional client service and uphold professional standards
  • Utilise Case Management System and adopt new technologies
  • Complete safeguarding training and respond to safeguarding concerns
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism and integrity
  • Undertake other duties as required by senior leadership

Key requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor with 8+ years’ PQE in Family Law
  • Proven track record handling divorce, financial remedy, children matters and cohabitation disputes
  • Experience in winning new business and building referral networks
  • Strong commercial awareness with growth delivery ability
  • Leadership or management experience with ability to recruit, develop and inspire teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition to establish and grow a leading practice
  • Commitment to maintaining a strong personal fee-earning contribution
  • Outstanding client relationship and business development skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and networking abilities
  • Strong organisational and case management skills
