Overview
In this role, you assess risk for downstream and midstream energy assets globally, using on-site and desktop analyses. You work closely with brokers and insurers to translate findings into actionable risk insights and insurance considerations. You will travel to meet clients, conduct risk evaluations, and contribute to market reports and risk communications. The role sits within the Natural Resources division, offering impact across a global client base. You’ll shape risk guidance that supports safer operations and effective insurance solutions.

Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site and desktop risk assessments of downstream and midstream energy assets and infrastructure
- Travel globally to engage with clients and assess risk factors such as process safety, mechanical integrity, fire protection, process control, and emergency response
- Produce market reports detailing on-site risk findings
- Collaborate with brokers to support bid presentations, insurance technical clarifications, maximum loss studies, and client roadshows
- Bridge technical risk insights with insurance considerations to inform coverage decisions
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to articulate risk and mitigation strategies
Key requirements
- Working knowledge or industrial experience of downstream and/or midstream oil and gas assets (e.g., refineries, gas plants, pipelines, LNG facilities)
- Insurance industry experience is advantageous but not essential
- Willingness to travel globally and adapt to client needs
