Cyber Security Analyst

Overview

In this role you will protect critical infrastructure within a large enterprise by monitoring, investigating and responding to cyber security incidents. You will work with a Security Operations Centre and internal teams to strengthen the organisation’s security posture across Microsoft Security, cloud and network environments. The role offers exposure to modern security technologies, funded certifications, and clear technical progression in a collaborative, values-led environment. You will drive vulnerability remediation and contribute to incident response capabilities with cross-functional teammates.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, triage and respond to cyber security incidents across a complex Microsoft environment
• Monitor and manage security events using Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR
• Drive vulnerability management and remediation across cloud, network and infrastructure environments
• Collaborate with an external SOC and internal infrastructure teams to improve security posture
• Contribute to development of security processes, controls and incident response capabilities

Key requirements

• Experience in a Cyber Security Analyst, Security Engineer or Security Operations role
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Security technologies, including Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR
• Experience investigating and responding to cyber security incidents in an enterprise environment
• Understanding of cloud and network security principles
• Ability to collaborate across infrastructure, networking and cloud teams while taking ownership of security issues
• Willingness to pursue funded certifications (e.g., Palo Alto)
