Cyber Security Architect

Overview

In this role you will shape and implement cyber security architecture for IT and OT systems, ensuring resilience and protection against threats. You’ll collaborate with global teams, cyber service providers and stakeholders to embed security into technology and business practices. Your work will drive cyber architecture roadmaps and a management system aimed at global accreditation, supporting RES’s mission to lead in renewables. Responsibilities

• Lead cyber architecture roadmaps, standards, and patterns to support IT and OT delivery and business objectives
• Act as design authority for cyber security architecture through solution proposals
• Coordinate with Global Lead Architect to ensure cyber changes are endorsed by the Technical Design Authority
• Oversee continuous cyber technology improvement programs to enhance resilience, standardisation and reliability
• Design and implement a cyber security management system to underpin global accreditation
• Apply cost optimization to OT/IT architecture to maximise business benefits
• Perform cyber due diligence for business proposals
• Analyze threat intelligence and collaborate with partners and authorities to assess impacts
• Support incident response and recovery for IT/OT in liaison with Cyber Security colleagues
• Oversee penetration testing of IT/OT systems and drive remediation actions
• Design cyber incident simulation scenarios to test and adapt response capabilities
• Lead the design of Cyber Health Check services for clients
• Shape and gain buy‑in to cyber strategy, standards, roadmaps across IT/OT teams and stakeholders
• Line management of 3rd party cyber service suppliers

Key requirements

• Extensive knowledge of cyber security for IT & OT environments
• Strong enterprise‑level design, implementation and operation knowledge
• Knowledge of governance processes including financial management, project management, compliance and IT risk
• Expertise in Cyber Architecture (Enterprise, Information, Technical, Application, People & Process)
• Experience managing and partnering with 3rd party cyber security suppliers
• Deep understanding of cyber security principles, frameworks and standards (ISO27001, NERC-CIP, NIST-CSF)
• Business‑oriented delivery mindset and stakeholder collaboration
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change
• Customer‑focused approach with integrity and credibility
• Experience with cyber security technologies such as firewalls, vulnerability scanners and authentication services
• Experience with architecture modeling tools and practices
• Delivery of cyber security solutions to mitigate risk and threats
