Cyber Security Analyst

Overview

As Cyber Security Analyst you will provide daily security operations across our tools, supporting the Senior Cyber Security Engineer. You will manage key platforms, assist client-facing security assurance, and help lift our security maturity ahead of ISO 27001. You’ll work with IT and business teams to enforce secure configurations and data protection, with on-call coverage for critical incidents. This role sits at the intersection of hands-on tooling and strategic compliance in a fast-growing, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement, manage and monitor security controls across email, web, endpoint and cloud environments
• Monitor and respond to security incidents using advanced threat detection tools
• Administer Netskope web filtering (policy updates, URL unblocks)
• Administer Mimecast email filtering (review and release)
• Administer CyberArk identity and privileged access management tooling
• Administer Microsoft Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels, discovery, compliance alerts)
• Maintain and respond to security DDQs and keep the security evidence library current
• Support ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials & Cyber Essentials Plus compliance activities and audits
• Provide technical guidance on security best practices and risk mitigation
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure secure configuration and data protection
• Participate in out-of-hours support rota for critical cyber incidents
• Contribute to Technology team processes to improve cohesion and efficiency
• Engage in training and performance processes; travel to other offices if required

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience with Mimecast or similar email security platform
• Hands-on experience with Netskope (web filtering, CASB, cloud security)
• Hands-on experience with CyberArk (identity and privileged access management)
• Microsoft Purview knowledge (data governance, DLP and compliance tooling)
• Experience responding to security DDQs and maintaining security evidence
• Experience supporting ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus
• Strong understanding of UK cyber security regulations and frameworks
• Experience in FCA-regulated or similarly governed environments
