Web Developer JavaScript Angular – HealthTech

Overview

In this role you will shape the frontend of a real-time shift rota platform, leveraging Angular 21 to modernise the web experience. You will work closely with a small team to influence best practices while liaising with backend concerns and database queries. The product supports NHS workflows and runs on AWS, accessible on web and mobile. This hands-on position combines architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and technical leadership in a mission-driven setting.

Responsibilities

• Implement and evolve the Angular frontend (Angular 21) for real-time scheduling
• Re-architect and optimise front-end codebase and UX
• Write and optimise SQL queries to support frontend needs
• Engage in technical discussions and aid decision-making
• Collaborate in a small team, mentoring and guiding others
• Contribute to CI/CD and software engineering best practices
• Work with REST APIs and real-time systems
• Support web and mobile (iOS/Android) access via AWS-hosted platform

Key requirements

• Strong JavaScript and modern Angular experience (Angular 21)
• Relational databases and SQL query writing
• Understanding of REST APIs and real-time systems
• CI/CD knowledge and Agile development experience
• Experience in startups/SMEs with varied responsibilities
• Collaborative, pragmatic mindset with strong communication
• Degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
• Nice-to-have: Angular Ionic for mobile apps
• Some backend exposure (Java) is a plus
