In-House Solicitor (1-5 PQE) – Renewable Energy Sector

Overview

You will join a market-leading energy infrastructure business at the forefront of the UK solar revolution, contributing to a growing in-house legal function. In this role you’ll handle commercial, corporate and strategic matters, collaborating with senior stakeholders to support rapid business expansion. You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts, advise on regulatory and ESG issues, and contribute to the company’s sustainability journey, including its BCorp accreditation. Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts (equipment supply and installation agreements)
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to sales, procurement and operations teams
• Assist with dispute management and regulatory compliance matters
• Contribute to ESG and sustainability initiatives and BCorp accreditation journey
• Collaborate with Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel on diverse legal projects across the business

Key requirements

• 1-5 years’ PQE, ideally in projects and/or construction
• Experience drafting and negotiating commercial and project agreements, including high-value contracts
• Strong technical skills with a practical, commercial approach
• Excellent relationship-building with stakeholders across the business
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to learn quickly
• Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Hybrid working acceptable within Bristol area
• Previous in-house experience beneficial but not essential
