Employment Partner – Bath

Overview

In this role you lead the Bath Employment practice while expanding the firm’s presence in Bristol and the Southwest. You will manage high-quality, profitable work and strengthen client and referrer relationships, supported by clear service scopes and pricing. You’ll drive business development, cross-referrals, and strategic initiatives to grow revenue and market share. Responsibilities

• Deliver profitable work on own matters
• Build and nurture client and referrer relationships
• Define service scopes, pricing, and charging models
• Apply market knowledge to provide robust legal advice
• Contribute to and implement departmental business plans
• Lead BD initiatives and generate new business
• Expand client network and intermediary relationships
• Foster cross-referrals within the firm
• Coach and delegate to junior team members
• Monitor departmental KPIs and contribute to performance
• Stay updated on legal/sector developments and influence strategy
• Drive strategic plan elements, including service lines and product development

Key requirements

• 7+ years’ PQE
• Solid business plan and growth proposition for Bath market
• Strong client management and service excellence
• Proven ability to win new business through BD
• Experience managing a small team
• Tribunal litigation experience (desirable)
