Overview
In this Manager role, you lead financial due diligence for financial services transactions, driving analysis and commercial insight across Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance, and Asset Management. You work in multidisciplinary teams to assess opportunities, risks and value drivers throughout deals, delivering high-quality client deliverables and shaping transaction outcomes. You’ll collaborate across service lines, coach juniors, and contribute to business development. This is a chance to influence significant transactions within EY’s Financial Services practice in Edinburgh.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day execution of financial due diligence engagements
- Manage project plans, deliverables and timelines across multiple engagements
- Analyze financial and operational information to identify key findings, risks and opportunities
- Prepare and review client deliverables including reports, presentations and stakeholder discussions
- Support clients in understanding transaction implications with commercially focused recommendations
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted contact throughout engagements
- Collaborate with Strategy and Transactions, Tax, Valuations and other service lines
- Coach and develop junior team members, providing regular feedback and on-the-job support
- Contribute to business development, client relationships and recruitment activities
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
- Experience in Financial Due Diligence, Transaction Services or a related advisory environment
- Financial Services sector experience (Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance or Asset Management)
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of transaction processes

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality work under tight deadlines
