Overview

In this AVP role, you will manage first-line credit risk across SSM’s business units from London, applying traditional counterparty credit analysis and trading-product knowledge. You will work closely with front office sales and relationship teams to ensure timely risk assessments and proper credit terms. The role supports cross-functional risk oversight with ERM, focusing on FX, OTC derivatives, and capital-related risk across multiple product lines. This is an impactful, hands-on position in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct counterparty credit reviews across SSM business lines
  • Collaborate with sales/relationship teams for timely credit analysis of new relationships
  • Negotiate client-facing credit terms and monitor ATEs
  • Collect and maintain up-to-date financial information for counterparties
  • Participate in due diligence calls and visits
  • Analyze credit utilization and investigate over-limit conditions
  • Bridge Front Office Risk with Enterprise Risk Management
  • Inform ERM of relevant counterparty developments
  • Support Front Office Credit and Market Risk teams with additional tasks

Key requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience in counterparty credit risk
  • Bachelor in Economics or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Formal credit training preferred
  • Professional designation (CFA, FRM) preferred but not required
  • Strong risk management focus and control orientation
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
