Quality Assurance Officer

Overview

In this role you will uphold ADM’s QA systems to ensure compliance with cGMP, FSSC 22000, FEMAS, UFAS and BETA NOPS. You will own customer and supplier complaint processes, audits, batch release, TACCP/VACCP risk management, and continuous improvement. You will train staff and provide QA support to cross‑functional projects to embed quality across lifecycles. This is a chance to shape quality performance and risk management in a global food and nutrition business.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end customer complaints, investigations, CAPA and tracking COPQ trends
• Support supplier complaints and ensure effective resolution and follow-up
• Develop and manage internal audit programme to ensure GMP and safety compliance
• Support supplier audits and address non-conformances with suppliers
• Perform batch record reviews and issue Certificates of Analysis
• Lead TACCP and VACCP processes and implement risk mitigation with stakeholders
• Develop and deliver QA induction training for new employees
• Provide QA support to cross-functional projects ensuring quality is embedded
• Define, monitor, and report quality KPIs and identify improvement opportunities
• Assist QA Systems Manager with system maintenance and improvements
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to QA performance across site

Key requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident IT user (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication and training delivery skills
• Proven auditing capability
• Experience in root cause analysis and CAPA implementation
• Ability to analyse and present data trends effectively
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a quality assurance role
• Internal auditing experience or relevant training
• Background in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Knowledge of cGMP and/or ISO 9001 (desirable)
