Head Chef

We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead the kitchen of an outstanding boutique hotel in Norfolk. Known for delivering superb food to a mix of locals, hotel guests, and private events including weddings, this hotel is looking for a talented chef with the passion, creativity, and leadership skills to take the dining experience to the next level.

The Role

• Designing and delivering seasonal, high-quality menus that reflect both modern British cuisine and local Norfolk produce.
• Leading the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistency, creativity, and excellence across breakfast, lunch, dinner, weddings, and events.
• Managing all aspects of the kitchen operation, including financial accountability, stock control, compliance, and health & safety.

Working closely with the General Manager to align on guest experience, profitability, and service standards.

• Recruiting, training, and mentoring a small but passionate brigade, nurturing junior chefs and helping them develop their skills.
• Maintaining strong supplier relationships and championing the use of fresh, local, and sustainable ingredients.

About You

• Has proven experience running a high-standard kitchen, ideally within a boutique hotel, fine dining restaurant, or events-led venue.
• Thrives under pressure and can adapt menus for weddings, celebrations, and special occasions while maintaining exceptional standards.
• Is confident in managing the financial and compliance responsibilities of a professional kitchen.
• Leads by example. Motivating, supporting, and inspiring their team to achieve excellence.
• Brings creativity, flair, and a genuine love for food that excites both locals and visitors alike.
