Overview
In this role you join a respected national law firm’s Insolvency team in Cardiff, focusing on a broad range of personal and corporate insolvency matters. You will work closely with the team lead, mentoring junior colleagues and coordinating with cross-office colleagues to deliver transactional, advisory and contentious support. You’ll manage administration appointments, business sales, bankruptcy estates and directors’ loan accounts, with exposure to LPA Receivers beneficial. Hybrid working is available, with a balance of in-office and remote work as you take on client-facing leadership. Responsibilities
- Handle a mix of personal and corporate insolvency matters including administration appointments, business sales, bankruptcy estates and directors’ loan accounts
- Provide transactional, advisory and contentious support to insolvency practitioners, lenders, directors and individuals
- Supervise and mentor junior colleagues; collaborate across offices on cases
- Engage in client development and maintain strong client relationships
- Utilise knowledge of Insolvency Act 1986, Insolvency Rules 2016 and Companies Act 2006 in casework
- Liaise on matters potentially involving LPA Receivers (beneficial)
- Support leadership in driving case strategy and business growth
Key requirements
- 5+ years PQE in insolvency
- Solid insolvency expertise
- Confidence in managing matters and mentoring juniors
- Proactive, client-focused approach
- Strong interpersonal and team-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with Insolvency Act 1986, Insolvency Rules 2016 and Companies Act 2006
