Overview
In this role you will lead and embed risk management practices for SGLB and SGIL, shaping the Risk Management Framework, risk appetite, and ICAAP deliverables. You will coordinate regulatory horizon scanning and governance, collaborating with cross-region stakeholders to drive risk-aware change. Your work supports robust risk culture and compliance with group standards, while enabling effective risk identification and management across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transversal risk management processes including Risk Identification, Risk Appetite governance, and RMF updates for SGLB/SGIL
- Coordinate ICAAP-related activities and provide input to second line risk opinions
- Monitor risk profiles and governance; produce summaries for governance forums
- Lead regulatory horizon scanning in the UK RISQ scope and assist with new regulation implementation
- Collaborate with Group RISQ/ERM and regional teams (ASIA, AMER) on risk developments
- Maintain and align normative documents (RAF, RAS, RMF) with group standards and regulatory expectations
- Coordinate risk identification/assessment campaigns and periodic risk reviews
- Lead key ICAAP deliverables, including challenge of capital adequacy
- Support business awareness of regulatory, market developments and risk management thought leadership
- Prepare documentation and presentations for governance forums and participate in or lead projects
- Foster a strong risk culture and governance across the organisation
- Demonstrate flexibility and change-delivery mindset across stakeholders
- Maintain awareness of business, regulatory and market developments and provide insights to improve risk management
Key requirements
- Advanced understanding of enterprise risk management in a banking environment
- Deep experience in developing RMF, RAF, RAS, ICAAP deliverables
- Strong quantitative knowledge related to financial statements, performance analysis and ICAAP
- Subject matter expertise on stress testing and reverse stress testing
- Experience assessing internal/external risk trends and regulatory developments
- Excellent coordination, project management and leadership skills
- Ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority and influence stakeholders
- Strong presentation and writing skills, especially for governance documentation
- Rigorous attention to detail and proactive approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and spoken English
