Construction Delivery Lead

Overview

As Construction Delivery Lead on a landmark nuclear power project, you guide a team of Construction Delivery Managers to deliver safe, efficient site construction. You will partner with contractor interfaces and short-term planning to align with the master programme, while upholding HSE and CDM standards. You’ll lead governance meetings, manage logistics, and coordinate multidisciplinary delivery to drive timely, compliant execution. Responsibilities

• Line management and development of Construction Delivery Managers across allocated work areas
• Act as Construction Delivery Manager for high-complexity scopes when required by senior leadership
• Oversee health, safety and environmental aspects in allocated zones in line with the Construction Phase Plan
• Lead assurance inspections and maintain KPI support using site tools (e.g., INSIGHT)
• Ensure compliance with Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations across delivery scopes
• Lead daily and weekly site cadence meetings (Plan of the Day/Plan of the Week)
• Conduct weekly planning with contractor partners to align with the master programme
• Oversee site logistics, labour allocation, and multidisciplinary delivery tracking across work packages

Key requirements

• Substantial experience delivering site construction on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects
• Proven strategic site setup, construction sequencing, resource allocation, and schedule recovery planning
• Strong commercial awareness impacting site construction and contractor management
• Expert knowledge of CDM Regulations and safety governance
• NEBOSH, SMSTS, or IOSH qualification holder
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
