Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Overview

In this Shift Engineer role, you maintain and repair production machinery to keep the plant running smoothly. You work closely with the production team to perform preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and support continuous improvement. You’ll help uphold safety, housekeeping, and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair production equipment to ensure reliable plant operations
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
• Perform equipment inspections and support continuous improvement activities
• Support high standards of health and safety and keep the workplace orderly
• Minimise downtime by collaborating with production team leaders
• Complete maintenance records and undertake risk assessments before maintenance activities

Key requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills
• Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Work with production team leaders to minimise downtime
• Maintain equipment inspections and maintenance records
• Undertake risk assessments and promote safe working practices
• Knowledge of production machinery and maintenance practices
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts (6:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00)
