Overview
As a Senior Surveyor at Helix, a Hines company, you will own day-to-day property management for predominately Central London multi-let offices. You’ll work within a collaborative team at the Covent Garden head office, delivering client-focused services and driving value while ensuring compliance with policies. You will manage maintenance, budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder relations, contributing to Helix and Hines’ broader projects. This role offers meaningful impact through active portfolio leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day property management and client care for Central London assets
- Maximise value, minimise voids, and achieve client objectives
- Prepare ad hoc and formal client reports for internal and external parties
- Ensure policy compliance and protect company interests
- Oversee day-to-day and cyclical maintenance with facilities team
- Assist project management of internal and external works
- Manage data and client files; handle rent and service charge collection
- Prepare service charge budgets and reconciliations; monitor expenditures
- Conduct regular site visits and produce inspection reports
- Maintain proactive communication with colleagues and stakeholders
- Contribute to wider Helix and Hines projects
- Process insurance claims efficiently
- Circulate information to tenants and understand Landlord and Tenant Act
- Issue fees for works outside management contract; share expertise with colleagues
- Work independently or with guidance; make decisions for the portfolio
Key requirements
- MRICS qualification or 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with administration in an office context (MS Office, Outlook)
- Stakeholder liaison experience with clients, professionals, lenders, and investors
- Demonstrated Level 3 RICS competencies
- Understanding of commercial leases and service charges
- Experience liaising with clients, occupiers, consultants, and local authorities
- Experience with a competitor company
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- Knowledge of buildings, maintenance, and service management
- Full clean driver’s licence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Numerical proficiency and computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently or in a team; high organizational skills
