Pre Fabrication Detailing Lead – Coventry/London

Overview

As a Pre-Fabrication Detailing Lead, you will steer the development of detailed 3D MEP models and fabrication drawings for off-site modules within a growing modular division. You’ll provide senior technical leadership across major projects, aligning designs with specifications, installation strategies, and site constraints. You will optimize prefabrication feasibility, manage a detailing team, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. This role supports front-line delivery for data-centre, pharmaceutical, and heavy industrial schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the prefabrication detailing strategy across major projects
• Oversee design interrogation and optimisation for prefabrication, developing plantroom layouts and service routing
• Manage and mentor a BIM/co-ordination team across multiple projects
• Develop and maintain prefabrication standards, templates and SMPs; manage 3D content library
• Drive programme delivery, look-ahead planning, RFIs coordination, and quality assurance

Key requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Based within commutable distance of London or Coventry
• Degree or Trade qualification in Mechanical / Building Services Engineering or related HVAC Discipline
