Contract – Business Analyst/Data Analyst (GMI Migration)

Overview

In this role you will lead data-focused analysis and migration efforts for a capital markets platform decommission and migration project. You will bridge Clearing Operations, Technology, Front Office, and Finance to design To-Be data flows and mappings for the new target architecture. The role focuses on data quality, transformation, and risk-managed delivery within a global markets context. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition to a next-generation platform and robust UAT, testing and parallel runs.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and target-state design for cleared derivatives platforms
• Perform data profiling, analysis and source-to-target mapping to support migration
• Drive migration readiness including test design, reconciliation, UAT support, and parallel run validation
• Collaborate with business, technology, operations, vendors, and clearing houses to deliver complex transformation initiatives and manage risks and milestones

Key requirements

• Experience as BA/DA in Tier 1 Investment Bank, Custody Bank, CCP, or top-tier consulting
• Knowledge of Global Markets Interface (GMI) and next-generation clearing platforms (e.g., FIS CDS) and ION XTP
• Proven track record in data migration, transformation, reconciliation, and platform migration in capital markets or top-tier banking environments
• Strong understanding of OTC derivatives and Futures & Options trade lifecycle
• Solid knowledge of Financial Accounting and GL processes
• Deep practical familiarity with clearing and security master setup, EOM, regional processing, and core reports
• Advanced SQL skills for complex queries across Oracle, Sybase, DB2, SQL Server
• Experience defining source-to-target mappings, data quality rules, and migration test cases
• Experience with AI-assisted analysis tools or frameworks for data profiling and root-cause analysis
