Overview
In this Regional Lead role, you will steer a defined D2C region by directing Relationship Managers and Hunters to achieve commercial and risk targets. You will shape local go-to-market strategies, coach teams, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to enhance customer outcomes and drive growth of the D2C channel. Using data, market insight, and local networks, you’ll translate strategy into actions that improve performance and client experience. This role offers a meaningful chance to scale a new channel within a fast-growing, SME-focused bank.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional team with clear objectives and accountability
- Own delivery of the region’s commercial plan and targets
- Present performance updates and regional plans to senior stakeholders using data-driven insights
- Utilize regional data, pipeline, and CRM activity to drive timely actions and maximize performance
- Provide hands-on coaching and development planning through regular 1:1s and pipeline reviews
- Lead local business development strategy to build networks with SMEs, accountants, solicitors, and advisers
- Support the D2C channel’s reputation as a trusted, fast, and expert service provider in the region
- Ensure risk management activities meet required standards and align with risk appetite
- Contribute to the development of scalable, efficient ways of working within the D2C operating model
- Role model Allica’s culture and values across the team and collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise customer and colleague experience
Key requirements
- Senior commercial leadership experience
- Strong SME banking and commercial lending knowledge, including relationship-led origination and risk management
- Proven track record of exceeding commercial objectives with high customer service and risk standards
- Career progression evidence and ability to improve teams, processes, and outcomes
- Hands-on, fast-paced leader capable of problem solving and owning outcomes
- Ability to design local business development strategies aligned to commercial goals and risk appetite
- Excellent forecasting, CRM and reporting skills; translating MI into actions
- Strong people leadership including hiring, coaching, and retention of high performers
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with credibility with customers, advisers and stakeholders
