Overview

As an Operational Risk Manager in the Risk Division you will provide second-line oversight with an advisory mandate to Asset Management leadership. You will help institutions make risk-informed decisions by strengthening the operational risk framework and translating data into actionable insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify remediation opportunities and support strategic growth while maintaining robust risk controls. This role blends analysis, stakeholder engagement, and clear reporting to senior management and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Advise Asset Management stakeholders on risk implications and control enhancements
• Oversee the second-line operational risk framework and provide robust challenge
• Manage operational risk event data collection and remediation planning
• Analyze risk data to identify themes and inform management decisions
• Maintain accuracy of RCSA and tail scenario assessments through reviews
• Review first-line Risk and Control Assessments to ensure sound measurements
• Develop and quantify tail-risk scenarios for stress testing and capital calculations
• Support advancement of operational risk methods and framework
• Create management reports using Alteryx, Tableau, or similar tools
• Prepare clear, decision-oriented analysis for senior management and regulatory engagement
• Evaluate new business initiatives to assess changes to operational risk profile
• Collaborate cross-regionally and with first line to ensure risk alignment

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in operational risk or Asset and Wealth Management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to present with impact and build consensus among senior stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with delivery focus
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Alteryx is a plus
• Quick learner with ability to work cross-regionally and independently
