Trend & Change Manager

Overview

In this role, you support a project delivery team within Mace to embed trend and change processes across projects and the PMO. You will ensure change integrity, quality checks, and timely approvals while liaising with multiple stakeholders. The position strengthens governance, budget control, and reporting through robust change management and trend analysis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive consistent change control and enable informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Embed change and trend processes within the delivery team
• Conduct paper quality checks and assurance
• Provide technical support for change control across budget, scope, and WBS
• Maintain baseline integrity and change logs; report authorised change
• Support project manager and planning, cost, scope, and reporting managers
• Coordinate with wider project controls, construction, commercial, and finance teams
• Develop cost and resource estimates to support the budget
• Provide detailed change control and project trend and change reports
• Collaborate with risk team for trend and change analyses
• Liaise with external suppliers and multi-contractor environments
• Possibly provide line management in the future
• Travel to Reading area as required

Key requirements

• Project Controls experience in a project delivery team with specialist Trend and Change Management experience
• Experience in a Programme Management Office
• Experience leading day-to-day Trend and Change activities for reporting and governance
• Experience in complex delivery systems with multiple contractors and diverse stakeholders
• Experience reviewing and challenging supplier data
• Experience applying project controls methodologies and techniques for decision making
• Experience using project controls software (P6, SAP, PRISM, RiskHive, ARM, Power BI)
• Proven relevant experience in project management or project controls in construction or consultancy
• Nuclear sector experience is desirable
• HND or equivalent qualification in engineering, construction, quantity surveying or related field is desirable
