Overview

In this role you will operationally support and administer innovative IT platforms to advance the university’s digital strategy. You will lead the NebulaOne AI platform rollout and manage SIAP-delivered tools, ensuring performance, access, and reliability. You’ll monitor systems, handle incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain stable, high-availability services. Responsibilities

• NebulaOne AI platform administration including user provisioning, configuration, and licensing
• SIAP platform monitoring with health dashboards and performance metrics
• Incident and problem resolution for operational issues across platforms
• System maintenance, updates, and patch management to minimise disruption
• Operational reporting on usage, performance trends, and SLAs
• Documentation of playbooks, DR procedures, and configuration for knowledge transfer
• BAU integration with Professional Services workflows to ensure uninterrupted operations
• User support and training for NebulaOne and SIAP tools
• Promote equality, diversity, and sustainability in daily operations

Key requirements

• Degree (or equivalent) and substantial practical experience in platform administration or IT operations
• Proven enterprise IT systems administration and operational management experience
• Strong monitoring/observability skills with dashboards (e.g., Azure Monitor, Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Working knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud environments
• Awareness of AI/automation in higher education and related operational considerations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to translate technical status for non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of Equality Act 2010 and inclusive practices
