Overview

As Head of Portfolio Solutions, you will lead the London facultative portfolio strategy within Everest’s global growth agenda, guiding MGA and facultative facilities across UK and EMEA. You’ll build and lead a high-performing team, define underwriting discipline, and manage portfolio performance within appetite. You’ll drive market engagement, broker relationships, and hybrid structures to scale capacity and shape Everest’s market positioning. You’ll collaborate across functions to deliver a One Everest approach while ensuring governance and regulatory alignment. This is a high-visibility role with significant impact on Everest’s facultative expansion and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and shape the portfolio solutions strategy, overseeing performance, growth, and underwriting discipline
  • Build and develop a high-performing, inclusive team with clear structure and momentum
  • Underwrite and manage UK and EMEA regional portfolio within agreed appetite and guidelines
  • Partner with global leadership to align on strategy, portfolio management, and underwriting approach
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with brokers and key market stakeholders across London and EMEA
  • Identify, structure, and deliver new portfolio / hybrid opportunities
  • Define and evolve Everest’s underwriting appetite, product offering, and market positioning
  • Represent Everest externally to enhance brand presence and build long-term trading relationships
  • Collaborate across underwriting, actuarial, claims, legal and other functions for a One Everest approach
  • Ensure strong governance, oversight, and adherence to risk and regulatory frameworks

Key requirements

  • Experience in individual risk and/or portfolio/treaty reinsurance underwriting, structured or hybrid reinsurance solutions
  • A leadership mindset with ability to build and develop teams and operating models
  • Strong London Market presence and broker relationships
  • Commercial, strategic approach to underwriting and business development
  • Ability to operate at pace, navigate complexity, and contribute to building something new
  • Background in property underwriting at insurance or reinsurance level is beneficial
