Principal or Associate, Public Health Engineer (Building Services)

Responsibilities

• Lead public health engineering delivery across feasibility, concept, scheme and detailed design
• Represent WSP to clients and translate client needs into engineering solutions
• Manage technical, cost, and programme elements of project delivery
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers
• Incorporate sustainability, net zero, digital design, MMC, and smart systems into design work

Key requirements

• Working knowledge of UK public health and healthcare building services design, including relevant standards, codes and regulations
• Ability to work in a team and lead/coach junior engineers
• Strong technical judgment and problem-solving across design and construction phases
• Ability to manage project delivery in terms of technical, cost, and schedule requirements
• Client-facing experience and ability to align engineering solutions with client needs
