Principal or Associate Civil Engineer – Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery and approval of civil infrastructure projects
• Produce and review highway and drainage designs
• Deliver projects from concept and planning through to detail design and construction support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated infrastructure solutions
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulators, local authorities and stakeholders
• Liaise with utility, drainage, and highway authorities during project delivery
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to high technical standards
• Shape innovative, sustainable infrastructure delivering positive community outcomes in the South West

Key requirements

• BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or related discipline with consultancy project delivery experience
• Experience designing highway and drainage infrastructure across concept to detailed design
• Strong understanding of infrastructure design principles and UK standards
• Proven experience delivering multidisciplinary projects and working with clients
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with utility, drainage, and highway authorities
• Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers and technicians
• Strong organisation and project management skills with ability to manage competing priorities
• Collaborative approach and passion for high-quality engineering solutions
• Experience using Civil 3D, InfoDrainage and utility coordination software would be advantageous
• Passion for sustainable infrastructure and navigating regulatory approvals
