Overview

In this role you will apply advanced data science to power marketing transformation at WPP Open. You will own key initiatives, delivering scalable algorithms and insights that inform strategic decisions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to run rigorous experiments and optimize campaigns. You’ll be part of a global HQ data science team, contributing to knowledge building and solution evolution. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data science algorithms for strategic initiatives (e.g., Footfall Accelerator, Guaranteed Outcomes, Total Audio Planner, Integrated Social)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and run A/B tests and translate results into actionable recommendations
  • Preprocess, analyze, and model large datasets using Python and Jupyter notebooks to extract trends informing decisions
  • Lead optimization of marketing campaigns and business processes through advanced data-driven approaches
  • Present findings to internal stakeholders with clarity and impact, driving consensus
  • Pursue continuous learning to advance data science capabilities and contribute to team growth
  • Act as an in-house expert, promoting innovative and lateral thinking within the HQ team

Key requirements

  • Strong programming skills in Python; proficient with Jupyter notebooks for analysis and visualization
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Vertex AI)
  • Solid understanding of machine learning (supervised/unsupervised, classification, regression) and data activation solutions
  • Expert data manipulation using Pandas and NumPy
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to articulate insights to diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously with proactive problem-solving in a HQ embedded role
  • Bachelor in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field
