Embedded Security Education & Awareness Programme Consultant

Overview

As a Consultant, you will own and evolve a Security Education & Awareness programme that protects people, research, and intellectual property by fostering security-conscious behavior. You will tailor training to the client’s unique research culture, focusing on meaningful “why” explanations and engaging delivery. You’ll drive end-to-end training cycles, deliver updates at conferences, onboard new hires, and sustain ongoing communications. This role combines strategy, content creation, and stakeholder collaboration to scale security education in a technology research environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual security training cycle end-to-end, coordinate content refresh with e-learning vendor, rollout, tracking, leadership dashboards, and escalation for non-compliance
• Produce location-specific security briefings and short-form audio content for major conferences using threat intelligence inputs
• Deliver monthly live onboarding sessions for new hires, create interactive exercises, maintain on-demand recordings, and manage follow-up communications
• Coordinate quarterly threat briefings for high-profile researchers and arrange recurring leadership slots for threat updates
• Maintain and expand the internal security portal with bite-sized training, threat updates, and guidance tailored to AI research workflows
• Create regular security awareness content across internal channels (newsletters, chat posts, short-form video) to bridge training cycles

Key requirements

• Proven track record managing security education and awareness programmes at scale in a technology or research organisation
• Strong content creation skills across formats: video, e-learning, written communications, infographics, and audio
• Broad corporate security expertise spanning insider risk, IP protection, travel and personal security, and event security
• credibility and gravitas to present to all levels from new joiners to senior leadership and researchers
• Comfort operating as the sole owner of the programme while collaborating with the wider security team for input and stakeholder support
• Ability to work with senior leadership, legal, communications, and people teams as stakeholders
• Automation mindset with experience building workflows, dashboards, and pipelines to reduce manual overhead
