Civil Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will lead civil infrastructure projects in Glasgow with a focus on drainage and development infrastructure. You will balance hands-on design with project delivery while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. There is room to assume greater leadership as you progress toward Chartership, shaping delivery on a range of sectors. Your work supports sustainable development and client satisfaction within a growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver infrastructure schemes including drainage, alignment and general civils
• Produce and review technical outputs (drawings, calculations, reports)
• Work across a variety of sectors, potentially including water and renewables
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Support and mentor junior engineers (Senior+ level)
• Contribute to project planning and delivery

Key requirements

• Experience in civil engineering consultancy (design-focused)
• Strong background in drainage design and infrastructure/alignment design
• Proficiency in InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage
• Comfortable working independently and in a team
• Ability to manage workload and contribute to project delivery
• Chartership & progression: open to ICE progression and track record of helping engineers achieve CEng
