Civil Engineer

Overview

In this role you will deliver civil design and analyses for a range of industrial and infrastructure projects. You’ll lead design tasks within the civil team and coordinate with clients, project managers, and other disciplines to plan, develop, and deliver projects. You’ll develop concepts, perform analyses, and guide junior engineers, while ensuring compliance with local and international standards. This position offers leadership in a global engineering environment and the chance to influence large-scale site development and infrastructure programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil analysis and design for projects with independent judgment and high attention to detail
• Lead a team or coordinate with larger design groups depending on project size
• Review construction documents for accuracy and compliance with client standards and codes
• Forecast effort, manage workload, and own assigned scope; identify changes and escalate as needed
• Provide technical coaching and mentorship to engineers; advance workflows and adopt new tools
• Communicate requirements clearly to designers, project managers, and clients; collaborate across disciplines
• Support projects across offices and potentially undertake temporary duty assignments
• Develop design concepts and documents, including Civil 3D models, and ensure integration with other disciplines
• Assist in permit applications and ensure AHJ compliance
• Stay abreast of regulations, standards, and industry trends

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 10 years of manufacturing project experience
• Experience in semi-conductor, data center or industrial facilities advantageous
• Proficiency with Navisworks and Bluebeam
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley software (StormCAD, WaterCAD, WaterGEMS)
• Experience in hydrology analysis (HEC, TR-55, Rational) and site development planning
• Ability to manage scope, schedule, and deliverables; strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to review documents and ensure compliance with codes and standards
