Overview
As a Principal Analog IC Design Engineer, you will lead high-performance power-management blocks for portable consumer PMICs. You join a multi-site analog/mixed-signal team and collaborate with system architects to define end-to-end power architectures. You will own architecture decisions, block bring-up, and design optimization to deliver best-in-class performance. This role combines hands-on circuit design with mentoring and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and architect high-performance mixed-signal devices
- Circuit design at transistor level and simulation
- Present technical results to internal teams and customers
- Use design verification flows to meet functional, power and timing objectives
- Integrate blocks into larger mixed-signal SoCs
- Support layout, lab evaluation, and test to ensure delivery
- Improve analog design methodologies to reduce time-to-market
- Drive power-design work including switching regulators, LDOs, charge pumps, and related control loops
- Lead power block bring-up, silicon debug, and optimization across PVT variations
- Collaborate with system architects on end-to-end power architectures
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and liaise across multi-site teams
Key requirements
- Electronic Engineering degree with 10+ years of analog/mixed-signal IC design experience
- Deep expertise in power-management circuit design (switching regulators, LDOs, charge pumps)
- Experience with amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits is a plus
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
- Ability to own products from architecture to implementation and debug
- Experience integrating PM and analog blocks into complex SoCs or MCUs is advantageous
- Some travel required (up to 10%)
- Capability to conduct technical presentations to internal teams and customers
- leadership
- interpersonal communication
- teamwork
- power-management circuit design
- switching regulators
- low-dropout regulators (LDOs)
