Finance Officer

Overview

In this role you will support the Head of Finance to provide financial guidance across the hospice, helping maximise every penny raised. You will help develop and improve financial systems and processes, applying strong attention to detail to maintain financial integrity. You will work with a collaborative, cross-functional team and be part of a values-driven charity making a tangible difference to patients and families. Responsibilities

• Provide finance support and advisory services to colleagues across the hospice
• Assist in developing and improving financial systems and processes
• Maintain accounting systems and ensure financial integrity
• Collaborate with teams to deliver timely financial information and reporting
• Support budget monitoring and financial controls
• Contribute to financial governance and data protection practices

Key requirements

• AAT Level 4 or equivalent experience
• Accounting software experience or similar
• Previous experience providing finance support in a multidisciplinary environment
• Excel skills with demonstrable experience
• Understanding of information governance, confidentiality and data protection
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
